LEAD THE WAY FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS

Chad Greenway Supports Local Students Through Hunger Relief Campaign

Former Minnesota Viking Linebacker Chad Greenway is giving back to his community by leading a campaign to provide ongoing meals to underprivileged Minnesota children who are missing school as a result of COVID-19 prevention closures.
Thousands of students throughout the state of Minnesota rely on free and reduced breakfasts and lunches at schools for their daily nourishment. With schools closing for extended periods of time, these students have little to no access to regular meals. Greenway’s Lead the Way Foundation is partnering with local hunger relief-focused nonprofits to address this urgent need and distribute meals to these students for the duration of the crisis.
Greenway and his wife Jenni have personally pledged $10,000 towards this cause. The Lead the Way Foundation’s executive board has generated an additional $4,000 in the past 24 hours. Now the Greenways are asking the general public to pitch in by making donations this week.
Every $100 makes it possible for 25 children to receive meals. More than 3,500 children will be fed thanks to the funds raised by the Greenways so far, with many more to come.
