Chad Greenway's golf outing raised more than $135,000

Minneapolis, MN – (May 15, 2017) – Former Minnesota Vikings linebacker, Chad Greenway, welcomed golfers to Wayzata Country Club on Monday, May 15, 2017 for his first annual Lead the Way Golf Outing raising more than $135,000 to benefit Chad Greenway’s Lead the Way Foundation.

“This is my foundation’s first event since retirement, so it means a lot to see everyone’s continued support. We look forward to continuing to impact the lives of those in need,” said Greenway.

Greenway’s foundation provides seriously ill and physically challenged children throughout the Twin Cities with daily support and life-changing experiences. Proceeds from the event will go toward Chad Greenway’s Lead the Way Foundation’s initiatives like the new inclusive, accessible playground that Greenway will break ground on ground on this Fall.

Guests were able to play 6 holes before inclement weather pulled golfers off the course. During the rain, gests enjoyed a “Minnesota Made Cocktail Reception” and had the chance to bid during exciting live and silent auctions.

Current and former Vikings showed their support by playing alongside of guests and Paul Allen served as the day’s emcee and auctioneer.
