LEAD THE WAY FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS

Chad Greenway Raises More Than $205,000 at Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament

MINNEAPOLIS (JUNE  4, 2019) – On Monday, former Minnesota Vikings Linebacker Chad Greenway and his wife Jenni hosted their Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Wayzata Country Club to benefit their Lead The Way Foundation and its community outreach programs.
Greenway met more than golfers for brunch before a shotgun start to 18 holes that included contests like longest drive and closest to the pin. Numerous local celebrities and sports icons, such as Minnesota Twins legend Joe Mauer and former NFL MVP Rich Gannon, joined Greenway on the links on Monday to help support the Lead the Way Foundation’s mission of assisting seriously ill children and their families.
The day concluded with a “Minnesota-Made” reception that featured regional brews, a locally-curated silent auction and live music. The reception was followed by a live auction and dinner program, where Greenway spoke about plans to construct a handicap-accessible playground at hospice care facility specifically for children.
The event raised more than $205,000 in support of the Foundation’s branded all-inclusive playgrounds. Chad and Jenni Greenway also announced their own personal donation of $25,000. These playgrounds will largely be focused in the Greater Twin Cities area. Hormel Foods, Raimann Farms, Polaris and Sanford Health all served as Co-Presenting Sponsors for the Third Annual Golf Tournanment.
